The Cost of Living Longer?

While the recent debate over OAS has largely focused on the implications of the post-baby boom decline in fertility, pensions (and retirement savings) face a potentially much larger challenge: life expectancy. Should we plan for longer life expectancies (and thus larger nest eggs), or have we already reached the limits of medical science? How are companies reacting to new data -- and pricing longevity risk?
